The Catalan media haven’t given up on Yerry Mina potentially signing for Everton this summer.

Lucas Digne moving to Goodison Park is seen as almost certain by Barcelona’s closest media, but it’s claimed the interest in Mina still remains and a deal is possible despite the Colombian continuing to eye a bigger move.

Saturday’s edition of Sport report that Everton have made a €30m plus bonuses offer for Mina, but Barcelona have rejected that at this point.

Despite the rejection it’s explained the transfer remains possible and there’s confidence the amount will rise as the Premier League transfer deadline gets closer.

Barca and their player are currently prepared to wait and see which other offers come in, and Manchester United would be Mina’s preferred option right now.

How concrete any of the interest is remains to be seen, but Sport seem convinced the defender is heading to English football.

The Catalan newspaper ends their article with: ‘It will be Everton, United or some other Premier League team.’
