Lukasz Teodorczyk has this week completed a permanent move from Dynamo Kiev to Anderlecht, and signed a contract until 2020. Despite that, Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad say the chances of him remaining at the club beyond the end of the season are ‘nearly nil’.
Anderlecht originally signed Teodorczyk on loan and had a clause to make the deal permanent. Now with the plyer fully belonging to them there’s the chance to make a quick and big profit, and Everton are linked by Het Nieuwsblad on Friday.
Everton and other clubs will have to pay €20m should they wish to sign the striker, which seems a reasonable fee for the Poland international.
Likely to break through 30 goals for the season, Teodorczyk could be an excellent recruit for Ronald Koeman, either to compliment or replace Romelu Lukaku.
The €20m figure is really being rammed home, with Het Nieuwsblad even joking via cartoon that it should be the player’s new shirt number.
Of course, €20m would be absolutely no problem for Everton and should Koeman seriously want the player there’s a good chance of him starting next season at Goodison Park.
