It’s still funny how big clubs from other leagues get so afraid of competing with English sides in the race for signings.

Roma are undoubtedly one of Europe’s top clubs, having just reached the Champions League’s semifinals, having great players in their squad year after year.

Still, there’s some concern that they can’t fight with Everton in a battle for Justin Kluivert from Ajax.

It’s the newspaper Tuttosport who are claiming it today, as they report Roma’s plans for the summer transfer market.

According to the outlet, it’s pretty clear that the Giallorossi want the Ajax star, and will count on their good relationship with his agent Mino Raiola to make the transfer easier.

The problem is that if Raiola decides to make a ‘Premier League auction’ with the player, then Roma wouldn’t have a chance to compete.

After mentioning the Premier League, Tuttosport only name Everton as possible contenders, making the Toffees the only clear competitor in this race.

And, now that Marcel Brands has been appointed at Goodison Park, he can use his own friendship with Raiola to get a deal done if Everton interest is genuine.
