Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Everton remain interested in signing Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir after being linked with the player.
The 23 year old has been performing impressively for his side since the start of last season, and that’s led to interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, including Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool.
It’s reported all three Premier League clubs will now send a scout to this weekend’s game against Besiktas to watch the player in action.
Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham interest would be welcomed by the Turkish club as this will strengthen their hand ahead of the next transfer window.
Fanatik also back up previous claims Liverpool wanted to sign Cakir during the last transfer window. Trabzonspor decided to keep hold of the youngster as they are expecting to sell him for more money in the summer.
Quite why Liverpool need an expensive goalkeeper isn’t clear.
Cakir has been one of the best players for the Super Lig leaders this season and is under contract with the Trabzon club until June 2024.
