Making a name for himself last season as he broke into Paris Saint-Germain’s first-team under Unai Emery, Presnel Kimpembe hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Keeping the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar at bay for 90 minutes in his side’s infamous 4-0 win over Barcelona, the 21-year-old has showed maturity beyond his age at times, and that’s why there are clubs circling.
According to RMC Sport in France, Liverpool and Everton in the Premier League, as well as Inter in Italy, have all asked about the player, only to be told very kindly by Paris Saint-Germain to go see elsewhere.
The French media outlet say that Presnel Kimpembe leaving the the capital is ‘out of the question regardless of how much money is put on the table’.
Down his end, the player isn’t hiding his love for his current club, the one he’s always been with, and isn’t planning on leaving this summer.
Both Liverpool and Everton have been looking at centre-backs this summer, with the Reds’ love for Virgil Van Dijk well documented, while the Toffees’ purchase of Michael Keane would suggest their recruitment in that department should be done.
Then again, Ramiro Funes Mori’s serious knee injury and Ashley Williams’ advancing years might push Ronald Koeman to buy one more centre-back this summer, you know, just to be safe.
That man, however, won’t be Presnel Kimpembe by the looks of things.
The same goes for Jürgen Klopp.
