Fotomac claim Everton are exploring the possibility of signing Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup.
The Turkey international will be out of contract next summer, and the Premier League side could look to take advantage of his situation in the new year.
Ozyakup has been linked with other Premier League clubs in the past few weeks, including his former club Arsenal, and Fotomac say Everton officials are looking to begin formal talks with Besiktas.
The 24 year old midfielder may be allowed to leave the club in January, after he recently lost his place to Tolgay Arslan, and because of his contract situation.
Everton could sign the player on a free transfer next summer, if they can’t get a deal done in January, and they’ll be able to speak to the player in the new year with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
Ozyakup has become a key player for Besiktas since his €600K move from Arsenal in 2012, and he’s been instrumental in Besiktas’ back to back title wins.
