Everton are showing an interest in AC Milan forward Gianluca Lapadula, according to claims in the Italian media. The Italy international’s future with the Serie A giants is uncertain after failing to make the desired impact during his debut season at the San Siro.

TMW have reported Everton are monitoring the situation with Lapadula ahead of the summer transfer window. With the uncertainty over the future of Romelu Lukaku the Merseyside club could be in looking to bring in a replacement for the Belgian. Although not in the same style of Lukaku the 27-year-old could provide goals for Ronald Koeman’s side.

It’s been claimed Everton may be set for talks to sign the AC Milan player, but he would cost the Premier League side €20m. Premier League newcomers Brighton have already made an approach for Lapadula, but they were put off by the Italian side’s valuation of the player.

Lapadula has already been linked with a move to England after Leicester City tried to sign the Italian last summer, following his goalscoring feats for Pescara during the 2015/16 season.
