With Nice taking everyone by surprise this season and challenging for the Ligue 1 title, a lot of their players have been thrust into the spotlight.

Of course, Mario Balotelli’s resurgence has made most of the headlines, yet others in the team deserve a lot of praise, including Jean-Michaël Seri.

The 25-year-old midfielder has impressed this season, helping his team with six goals and nine assists in 29 league appearances, to the point where Nice want to keep him for a couple of extra years.

However, according to RMC Sport in France, both Everton and Leicester in the Premier League are keen on the player, and could make a move for him in the summer.

Capable of both defending and attacking with ease, Seri would be beneficial to both Ronald Koeman and Craig Shakespeare for next season.

However, with Nice expected to play Champions League football (at least, in the qualifying stages) next season, the lack of European football at both clubs could make Seri think twice about moving to either Goodison Park or the King Power Stadium.

As things stand, this is just interest, but if the negotiations between Seri and Nice don’t go to plan (they should), Everton and Leicester are ready to pounce.
