It seems that Helder Costa’s good season for Wolves hasn’t gone unnoticed by Premier League clubs, or by his parent club Benfica.
With nine goals and six assists for the Championship club, the Benfica loanee has impressing in England and could have his spell at the Wolves cut short.
That’s because, according to O Jogo today, many sides are already looking for a deal which could give the Eagles around €15m.
The outlet considers Everton to be the best positioned club in the race, but also claims that Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace, Southampton, West Ham and Hull City have all shown interest.
As the article isn’t in today morning’s newspaper, it sounds like O Jogo has just learned the information. They even claim a deal could be closed today. The 23-year-old was originally loaned to Wolves until the end of the season, but a deal like this will probably force Benfica to stop it right now.
Ronald Koeman and Everton have been linked with several attackers in recent weeks, and 23 year old Costa is is a left winger, who can also play on the right or through the middle.
Just like Koeman, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is keen to sign players during the current window, and he too has been linked with flexible attackers.
Everton are considered to have the deepest pockets at the moment, of the clubs mentioned, which would probably see Benfica look for that option. The Portuguese club have been keen to sell during the current transfer window, and parting with Costa permanently is a way of raising funds without really losing a player.
