Turkish newspaper Fotomac claim Everton will knock on Fenerbahce’s door with a ‘decent’ offer for the club captain Ozan Tufan ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 25 year old was one of Fenerbahce’s most consistent performers before the Turkish Super Lig was stopped due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and Fotomac claim his displays haven’t gone unnoticed with Everton said to be interested in his services.
Fotomac add that Everton tried to sign him during the January transfer window, but Fener didn’t want to sell because the Turkish giants were competing for the league title.
However, the Turkish newspaper report the situation has now changed, and Fenerbahce could be forced to sell Tufan because of their poor financial situation.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti would like to strengthen his squad by signing a midfielder and they’ve also been linked with Napoli’s Allan.
Tufan’s contract with Fenerbahce was due to expire at the end of the season, but the Turkish club acted quickly to tie their captain down on a new deal., which will run until June 2023.
This season the former Bursaspor midfielder has made 26 appearances for the Yellow Canaries in all competitions and scored three goals.
