Premier League side Everton are reportedly chasing the Portuguese midfielder Pedro Delgado.

It’s local outlet O Jogo who claims it, saying the Toffees could be the destination for the 21-year-old from Sporting CP.

The website doesn’t make clear how advanced the negotiation is, but they say Everton ‘are one of the options the player has’, as if an offer had already been made, and Marco Silva is prominent in the story.

Also, by the way they write ‘he could continue his career at Everton’, it also sounds like his departure from Sporting this summer is pretty possible.

Delgado is still an academy player who hasn’t debuted for Sporting’s first team. For the reserve squad last season he made 29 appearances, with six goals and three assists.

The player started his career at Sporting, then moved to Portimonense in 2012, and a year later he left the country to play for Inter Milan. He spent three years at the Serie A club, and was linked to Watford in that period.

The he ended up returning to the Lions in 2016.
