Paris Saint Germain have started negotiations with Everton to sign Moise Kean permanently this summer, with the Blues demanding €50m for the striker.
That’s according to CalcioMercato, who say the Italian has made it clear he will not be returning to Juventus.
As you’ll be aware, Kean is on loan at PSG until the summer, having joined the French giants temporarily last year after a miserable first year at Everton.
He’s been hugely impressive in the French capital, scoring 17 goals in 33 games, including a strike against Barcelona in the Nou Camp in the Champions League.
That’s naturally led to talk of him staying, and CalcioMercato say that is very much on the cards, with talks already underway between Everton and PSG to make it happen.
They state that Juventus had been in touch with Kean’s agent Mino Raiola to see if there’s ‘any chance of him returning’, but they were told there was not, with the striker having ‘expressed the clear desire’ to stay where he is.
That’s because he ‘feels the great confidence’ of his teammates at the French giants and has a ‘great relationship’ with manager Mauricio Pochettino.
So, PSG need to find an agreement with Everton and have already ‘started the mission’ to make that happen.
The Blues have no intention of letting Kean go cheaply and have made it clear any negotiations will start from €50m.
Whether PSG will pay such a figure isn’t clear, but Leonardo is ‘working with Everton’ to ‘find a solution’, which suggests they want to bring it down.
He, though, doesn’t want to miss out on Kean, having failed to sign him for AC Milan in 2018, which means the chances of this reaching a positive conclusion for all parties are extremely high.
