Juventus are ‘ready to listen’ to offers for Adrien Rabiot this summer and Everton are among those ‘most interested’ in his signature.
Rabiot has endured a turbulent first year with the Italian giants after arriving on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain last summer.
For most of the campaign he has struggled for his best form under Maurizio Sarri, and that has led to numerous reports that a move could be on the cards this summer.
Everton were strongly linked throughout the January transfer window, the belief being that a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him his debut at PSG, would make sense for all parties.
Ultimately that move never happened, but the interest has not gone away, and when Rabiot’s relationship with Juventus further deteriorated after his failure to return from lockdown early, the Blues were once again named as a potential destination.
The midfielder has hit form since the restart, putting in several star performances and earning rave reviews from Juve boss Sarri in public.
However, according to Calciomercato, that does not mean his future at the club is certain, and there is every chance it may be ‘far from the black and white’.
They explain that both Juventus and his mother Veronique, who is his agent, are ‘ready to listen’ to any offers that come in for the midfielder this summer.
Everton are among those ‘most interested’ in his signature – alongside Newcastle and Manchester United – and there is a belief they could offer Juventus an ‘important capital gain’ in any transfer.
The Italian side are open to other ideas too, though, and aren’t opposed to using Rabiot as a ‘valuable exchange pawn’ if the situation is there to do so.
Either way, with Juve open to a sale and his agent refusing to ‘close the door to a new adventure’ – indeed she ‘looks curiously at the rich Premier League’ – there is a chance for Everton to finally get their man and the midfielder they desperately need.
