Everton are reportedly the latest club to join the race for Sporting midfielder Adrien Silva. According to newspaper O Jogo today, the Toffees have the player ‘on their list’ of summer targets.

But the 28-year-old’s price seems to be a problem for the Toffees. The outlet claims the Premier League side find Sporting’s demands ‘exaggerated’, as they would be asking for €30m to let him go.

Meanwhile, the price doesn’t sound like too much for Tottenham. The Portuguese press has been saying that only €5m separates Spurs’ last offer from a deal. So ifEverton are really interested, they could have serious competition.

Newspaper Jornal de Notícias had claims today saying West Brom also tried to enter the race, but Silva doesn’t want a move to the Baggies.

O Jogo don’t seem to know if Adrien would be keen to join Everton, but they don’t suggest otherwise.
