Earlier today, we’ve covered claims from Italy which said Arsenal FC would have joined the race for the Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The report made it clear that the battle for the midfielder is pretty hot, with other clubs like Napoli working to get a deal for the player soon.
But now it turns out there’s another Premier League club in the competition, at least according to Calcio Mercato. The website claims that Everton are also keen on the 22-year-old.
The Toffees have reportedly made a recent approach for Torreira, and could now spoil Napoli’s plans to get the player early in the transfer window.
Calcio Mercato claims that the Sampdoria midfielder has a €25m release clause, which is quite affordable for an English club.
Now as they don’t mention Arsenal, we wonder if any or both reports are true. If yes, then it should be a matter of who will pay for the release clause first.
