A move to Everton is the offer that ‘seduces’ Real Madrid midfielder James Rodríguez this summer.
That’s according to Marca, who believe the Colombian would choose a switch to Goodison Park and the chance to link up with Carlo Ancelotti above others given a choice.
Rodríguez is extremely likely to leave Real Madrid this summer having failed to impress manager Zinedine Zidane since returning from a loan spell at Bayern Munich.
With his contract expiring next year the Spanish club are keen to move him on this year to ensure they don’t have to let him go on a free.
Last summer he made it clear that he didn’t want to move to the Premier League, but the outbreak of Coronavirus has meant the 28-year-old has to reassess his options and now England is looking like his most likely destination.
Everton are one of those interested in signing him, as they can offer him minutes and a starring role, while they also have ‘powerful arguments’ to convince him.
The Blues are ‘the option that most seduces James today’ because of Carlo Ancelotti’s presence at Goodison Park.
The Italian wanted Rodríguez at Napoli this season and has ‘always shown his love’ for the midfielder.
Likewise, the Colombian is ‘very comfortable’ with the Everton boss, thus making a move to Merseyside an attractive one to him.
