Everton are ‘very interested’ in a move for Lazio forward Joaquin Correa this summer and could be set to make a bid for him.
That’s according to Il Messaggero, who say Everton are set to make a €25m plus bonuses offer for the Argentine.
Correa has been heavily linked with a move away from Lazio for several weeks, with several reports indicating that he has told the Serie A side he wants a new adventure.
Everton are one of those to have been regularly linked in Italy, with a report at the end of last month indicating they had held positive talks with his agent about the potential move.
That was followed by a report yesterday, which made it clear the Blues were the most advanced of any club in the race, and Il Messaggero continue that today.
They say that Correa is the one who is most likely to leave Lazio this summer, and both Everton and Leicester City are ‘very interested’ in a deal.
Indeed, they are so interested that ‘soon a serious proposal’ will arrive from both clubs worth around €25m plus bonuses.
How soon, soon is, isn’t mentioned, but there’s clearly confidence that both clubs will make a serious offer to Lazio at some point in the near future.
