Everton are ‘interested in’ Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi and a potential deal has been ‘approved’ by Frank Lampard.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who provides details on the potential move for the Belgian today.
Batshuayi has been linked with a move to Everton this summer, with them needing to add another striker to their squad after selling Richarlison.
The issue has become a pressing one this week after Dominic Calvert-Lewin picked up an injury in training, something that has left Everton with just Solomon Rondon as an option for the first month of the new Premier League campaign.
Batshuayi has therefore been named as an option once again and Tavolieri reports that they are indeed interested.
The potential deal has been approved by Lampard, who worked alongside the player during his time in charge at Chelsea.
According to his information, Chelsea would prefer a permanent transfer but Batshuayi is instead aiming for a loan deal at Everton after signing a one-year extension at Stamford Bridge.
Whether Chelsea will sanction that remains to be seen but it seems a deal has been approved by Everton, who are now seemingly going to try and get a deal over the line.
