Despite being able to raise €30m in time in order to comply with FFP regulations without selling one of their big stars like Ivan Perisic, Inter still need to sell in order to bring some new players in.

One of their targets, according to Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday, is also one of Juventus’: Steven N’Zonzi.

With a release clause of €40m, the 30-year-old isn’t exactly the most affordable for them, which means they need to let some people go, including reported Everton target Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatia international has been touted as one of the possible exits this summer, but that has now been bumped up a bit, with Inter now ‘obliged to sell’ if they want to sign someone like N’Zonzi.

The problem they face here is that no concrete offers have reached them for the 25-year-old yet, despite interest from the Toffees and Zenit St-Petersburg.

Very versatile, Brozovic would likely be an asset to most Premier League sides, and with Everton spending money left, right and centre, the opportunity to pull of a coup could see them return in the near future.

That’s a hypothetical, though, yet with Inter seemingly needing to see him exit the club, they might be willing to accept a slightly lower offer than their demands

Having already reportedly rejected €18m for him from Everton, perhaps a slightly increased bid would be more favourable welcomed now?

The path is clear, Mr Koeman. It’s up to you, now.
