Ronald Koeman might not be in the list of favourites to become the next Barcelona manager, but he certainly has the chance of impacting the club’s future by swooping in and snatching one of their better La Masia talents.

The Everton manager is apparently keen on Barcelona Juvenil A’s Marc Cucurella, whose contract with the La Liga champions youth team comes to an end in the summer, and a few clubs are already circling.

A regular in the Barcelona’s Youth League squads, the 18-year-old defender has been free to talk to clubs since the new year, and Mundo Deportivo report the Spanish giants are desperate to keep him beyond this season.

In fact, his case is described as the ‘most urgent’, such is their fear of losing the left-back to the likes of Everton or Tottenham at the end of the season.

So, all that is left for Everton to do now is make him a better offer, and we’re sure the Premier League side can afford that.

This isn’t the first time Ronald Koeman’s interest in the left-back has been reported, with Sport mentioning a potential transfer to Goodison Park back in February.
