Although the Argentine media has been quiet today about Everton’s reported chase for Adolfo Gaich, the Italian press has some interesting updates about the situation.

Website FC Inter News claims that Inter Milan and Genoa could make a partnership to land the San Lorenzo striker this summer, specifically saying this is how they could beat the Toffees.

Although the Nerazzurri are not completely convinced of landing the player, they could agree with Genoa a buying option or a preference to get him in the future.

The Italian clubs are attentive to his situation due to his impressive performances at the U20 World Cup, which is what attracted Everton interest as well.

Now the most interesting claims are that FC Inter News says that Everton have already ‘initiated contacts’ with San Lorenzo for the signing of the 20-year-old.

This is something that the Argentine media hadn’t reported, despite being the first to claim the Toffees’ interest in the player.

The Italian outlet also claims that it would cost €6m to buy the 70% share that San Lorenzo has of the player.

But since the Argentine media claims that the player would leave for his US$15m release clause, we better take that into account as well.
