AS Roma are likely to sanction the transfer of Cengiz Ünder and his sale can ‘obtain valuable capital gains’ in the upcoming window, according to claims.
Everton are in the ‘front row’ for the Turkey international, reports Calciomercato.
Carlo Ancelotti has long been an admirer of the 22-year-old, even from his time at Napoli, and sees Ünder ‘well’ in the Toffees’ attacking division.
The Serie A side demanded €40m for Ünder a ‘few months ago’, but his asking price has dropped now. The website, however, does not mention the player’s current valuation.
Roma are interested in Moise Kean and they could ask for the Toffees striker as part of the deal for their winger. It’s not clear if a swap deal (including cash) would be considered between Everton and Paulo Fonseca’s side.
Everton would face competition from clubs in Italy and Spain for a potential transfer.
Calciomercato states Sevilla, Napoli and AC Milan are also keen on Ünder and the possibility of the player continuing in Serie A has not been ruled out.
Ünder has three goals in 15 league appearances (nine starts) for Roma this season.
