Everton not agreeing with any terms Valencia care to offer for Sandro Ramirez seems to have both shaken the Spanish club and the media covering them.

For months Sandro to Valencia has built around various Spanish newspapers, with the claims seeming rather concrete and full of confidence.

As Sport Witness has pointed out several times over the past month, there’s perhaps been a little too much assuming that Everton would be easy to deal with.

Whilst the Premier League club are likely to be willing to entertain offers for Sandro, and especially willing to talk if the player pushes for a return to La Liga, they’re hardly going to be keen to make themselves look silly.

A reasonable loan fee with a view to a permanent transfer at a good fee, or a straight reasonable fee for a sale in January would likely be all it takes for Everton to consider letting Sandro go.

However, AS say Everton’s stance is that Sandro can’t go anywhere, and that’s leading Valencia to look at other options.

We’re not so sure.

As ever, this seems a money thing.
