Everton are one of the sides to have ‘positioned themselves’ to make a move for Amir Richardson this summer.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who name Everton among the suitors for the Morocco and Reims midfielder.
The newspaper reports that ‘things are moving’ for Richardson, who finds himself being courted by several clubs in this market.
He’s been participating in the Olympic Games with Morocco this summer and that may lead to interest in him, with Reims expecting him to leave before the window is closed.
His participation in the Games has only increased interest, as well as his market value and several clubs have already positioned themselves to make a move.
L’Equipe name four, putting Everton alongside Ajax, Fiorentina and Roma in the potential battle for the 22-year-old’s signature.
Some clubs are even said to have sent an offer estimated at €9m excluding bonuses, although L’Equipe do not say which of the clubs may have done this. It is also a figure that would be rejected by Reims as they want €12m excluding bonuses.
That’s a relatively low figure for anyone to pay and we’re sure Everton could afford it, particularly now that they’ve sold Amadou Onana to Aston Villa.
