Everton have made ‘first contacts’ with player’s entourage – Club ‘will not oppose departure’

Everton have made ‘first contacts’ with the entourage of Paris Saint-Germain’s Idrissa Gueye, according to L’Equipe.

The midfielder has less than 12 months left on his contract and his future with the Ligue 1 winners is still undecided.

Nevertheless, the 32-year-old informed the PSG leaders he wants to honour his last year of contract, provided the competition for a place in the side next season is healthy and based on the sporting merit.

It’s indicated he would stay in Paris as the report states ‘it is with this reflection’ the Senegal international turned down an approach from Galatasaray.

L’Equipe state the Toffees have made initial contact with the player’s camp to find out the feasibility of him returning to Goodison Park this summer.
