Everton have been given a boost in their pursuit of Anderlecht forward Mahmoud Hassan after reports his loan club Kasimpasa can’t afford to buy him outright.

The player commonly known as Trezeguet has been linked with Everton in the past week.

Fanatik say Kasimpasa have a €5m redemption clause on Trezeguet’s contract, but the Turkish side don’t have enough money to pay it, so they’ll try again to acquire him on a loan deal for next season.

However, the 23 year old will be playing in this summer’s World Cup for Egypt, alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, so it’s doubtful Anderlecht will loan him once again to Kasimpasa before the competition.

A decent World Cup campaign could increase his valuation, and maybe open up a move to the Premier League.

Last week it was reported Everton are casting an eye on Trezequet ahead of the summer window, and could look to come in for the Egyptian.

The young attacker has also been linked with Galatasaray if Everton linked Garry Rodrigues leaves the Turkish club in the next window.
