Despite being set to return to Everton after a very good loan spell at AC Milan, Gerard Deulofeu’s future at Goodison Park is anything but certain.

After all, Barcelona are said to be keen to trigger the buy-back clause they have in place, while the club he was loaned to might want to make the move permanent.

And now another club could make a move for him, at least according to the player’s agent, Gines Carvajal.

Speaking to RomaNews in Italy, the Everton forward’s representative was asked whether or not his client could come to Roma now that Mohamed Salah’s transfer to Liverpool has been completed.

He said: “We’ll have to see, but Roma is a great club, so it’s a possibility.”

With some money to burn, having sold the Egyptian for €42m + €8m, bringing in an unwanted player from Everton, one who did well in Serie A, is certainly something the Champions League club should be looking at.

Whether Monchi rates the winger that highly, however, remains to be seen, but the number of destinations for Deulofeu is certainly growing by the day.
