There may have been no big developments in Everton’s chase for Porto winger Gonçalo Borges, but the Portuguese media continue to mention the Toffees as one of the contenders to sign him.

On Sunday, newspaper A Bola features a story about the players who could still leave the Dragons in the final days of the transfer window.

The outlet writes it’s ‘known’ that Borges is on the ‘radar’ of two English clubs, named as Everton and West Ham United.

And money doesn’t seem to be a problem in their chase, with A Bola claiming that both the Toffees and Hammers have the ‘financial capacity’ to get that done.

The price isn’t intimidating, as Porto only want €15m for the sale.

Following the first links between Everton and Borges last week, the Portuguese media had already claimed the Dragons would analyse the offers, even though they didn’t seem to know the exact price the club would accept selling him for.

So even though the winger is protected by a €50m release clause, the Toffees wouldn’t need a lot to sign the youngster, who’s unlikely to get big chances to play for Porto this season.
