Former Everton forward Kevin Campbell expects Ronald Koeman to take a totally different approach to his predecessor Roberto Martinez. Koeman was installed as the new Everton manager after Martinez was dismissed at the end of last season.

Speaking to Sky Sport News, Campbell was asked how the team will be different under Koeman. Campbell believes the new Everton boss will bring a more aggressive style to the team after the passive football played under Martinez last season. Campbell thinks if Koeman can bring his brand of football to Everton then Goodison Park can become a fortress.

“Everton will be more aggressive as they were real passive last season. Goodison needs to be a fortress,” said the former Everton forward.

Campbell spent six season on Merseyside, scoring 36 goals in 137 Premier League games. Although the 46-year-old was instrumental in Everton avoiding the drop in 1999 when he scored 9 goals in 8 games towards the end of the season.
