Everton continue to be linked to 27 year old Palermo striker Ilija Nestorovski.

The Toffees’ interest was first reported in Italy in February, when it was said they would be preparing to offer £17m for the player.

Now it’s Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo who are claiming it, saying Everton are in competition with several other sides from different leagues. Sevilla, Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina are just a few of them, aand Everton are said to be the strongest of the Premier League sides who have interest.

It’s claimed that this competition could raise the player’s price, which Palermo currently consider should be between €15m and  €20m. So the previously claimed Everton offer would be pretty much perfect.

Signed from Croatian side Inter Zaprešić for only €500k last summer, the player has managed to make a quick impact in Italy and has already scored 10 goals this season.

Could he be the replacement for Romelu Lukaku? It would be a big ask.
