Multiple reports coming out of the Catalan media this month talked about Everton’s interest in Jean-Clair Todibo.
Three days ago, we carried a report from Mundo Deportivo, who explained the Toffees and AS Roma are chasing the Barcelona owned defender.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have now joined the race for the 20-year-old.
Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico has a short update on the Frenchman, with a title, ‘Todibo: Bid from Wolverhampton’.
The headline in the online edition of the same newspaper reads ‘Wolverhampton also bid for Todibo’.
Rico states the Merseyside club and the Serie A side were considered as the only two options for the centre-back, who is currently on loan at Schalke.
However, that has changed in the ‘last few hours’ as Nuno Espírito Santo ‘appear interested’ in the Barca player. The title mentions a ‘bid’ from the Wanderers, but it’s not backed up within the short report.
Quique Setién’s side have long been demanding €25m to sanction Todibo’s sale, and with Wolves now joining the race, it remains to be seen if they can overtake Carlo Ancelotti’s side for his signing this summer.
