Edgar Elizalde hasn’t yet broken through with Pescara, but he’s already receiving attention from several clubs.

FC Inter News reported at the weekend that whilst it’s been claimed Juventus will provide ‘fierce’ competition to Inter Milan for the player, they’ve been informed that Everton are also keen and following the situation.

The Premier League club have ‘expressed interest’ in signing the 18 year old, but there’s no further explanation of where that contact has taken the Toffees.

Elizalde is Uruguayan and moved to Pescara in 2017, from Montevideo Wanderers. He isn’t a regular with the Serie B club and has only made one appearance for the senior team so far this season.

A left back who can also play in central defence, Elizalde has represented Uruguay extensively at youth level.

FC Inter News believes January could be key, because the youngster is expected to represent his country at the U20 South American championship. There’s likely to be a long list of scouts watching teams, and therefore more interest could build.

It’s explained that Elizalde doesn’t want to rush things and any next step will be carefully considered with his entourage.
