Everton have ‘expressed their interest’ in Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby ahead of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Blues have been in contact with the player’s representatives to learn his plans for next season.
Diaby has been in impressive form for the Bundesliga side this season, with ten goals and 15 assists in 41 games in all competitions so far.
That’s the kind of form that won’t have gone unnoticed, with impressive numbers such as those hinting that he is ready to make the next step in his career.
Indeed, FootMercato state he is ‘attracting interest’ from Europe’s biggest clubs already, but Everton have attempted to steal a march on potential competition.
They’ve already ‘expressed their interest’ to the player’s representatives and wanted to know what his plans are for next season.
According to the website’s information, they are ‘closely monitoring’ the player’s performances, and the feedback from England is ‘more than positive’.
He is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2025, and only an ‘attractive offer’ could make the German side ‘flinch’ and consider a deal.
That suggests they will demand a big fee for their man, although all indications are that Everton are keen regardless of that fact.
