PSV Eindhoven have promised Denzel Dumfries they will let him leave this summer, with Everton chasing his signature.
That’s according to Algemeen Dagblad journalist Mikos Gouka, who has revealed Inter Milan are also keen on the Dutchman.
Dumfries has been linked to Everton over the past two weeks, with it believed Marcel Brands had identified the PSV man as he hunts for a new right-back for the Toffees.
They’re yet to make their move, but it was made clear that PSV are willing to sell for the right price should they do so.
In the meantime, Dumfries has been starring at the European Championship, playing a key role in the Netherland’s opening win over Ukraine.
He scored the winning goal in that game and put in a superb performance; overall, a fact that is sure to have earned him attention from elsewhere.
And according to Gouka, Everton have serious competition in the form of Italian champions Inter Milan.
“This boy will, of course, make a top transfer,” he told Algemeen Dagblad’s podcast, relayed by Voetbal Primeur.
“I understand that Inter, for example, is also interested.
“He cost 5.5 million for PSV. Well, they will double that. They have already promised him that they will cooperate.”
