Adrien Tameze is a 25 year old defensive midfielder, flexible in position, currently playing for Nice in Ligue 1.
He’s a regular with 37 games so far this season and has a contract with the french club lasting until June 2021.
He’s also ‘in the viewfinder’ of Everton, report RMC on Friday evening. The French media outlet says Tameze has been one of the ‘pillars’ of Nice’s side since Patrick Vieira, who knows a thing or two about midfielders, took over at the club.
Everton are ‘closely following’ the player, and RMC say he wouldn’t be against the idea of moving to the Premier League this summer, which is of course positive for any Toffees interest.
Serie A high flyers Atalanta are also named as interested in the player, who is Nice’s top appearance maker this season. Watford were said to have been following him around the time of the winter transfer window.
He could be seen by Everton as a possible replacement for Idrissa Gueye, linked with an exit, and it could have been a similar case at Watford for Abdoulaye Doucouré.
