Everton are ‘in talks’ with PSV Eindhoven defender Denzel Dumfries about a move this summer but are yet to make an official bid.

That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink, who says that an offer is ‘expected soon’ at the Dutch club.

Yesterday, we covered comments from Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer, who stated that Dumfries’ agent Mino Raiola was in talks with Everton and Inter about the Netherlands star.

Elfrink has backed that up, explaining that PSV are expecting some of their players back from their summer holidays as early as next week, but Dumfries is unlikely to be part of that.

He will ‘normally be sold’ by that point, and the player is ‘in talks’ with Everton and Inter about a possible move.

PSV are yet to receive an ‘official offer’, but that is ‘expected soon’ as they seemingly push for a sale, having already given him permission to talk to other clubs.

At the minute, there is no mention of an asking price, but it’s been widely reported over the last few weeks that it will be somewhere between €15m and €25m.

Whether Everton or Inter offer that remains to be seen, but it seems PSV are expecting movement this week, with Raiola clearly working on a deal and Dumfries not expected back in the Netherlands.
