Everton are continuing ‘to press’ for Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao as they overhaul Frank Lampard’s squad this summer.
That’s according to Udinese Blog, Tutto Udinese and Calciomercato, who all say Everton are trying to sign the Brazilian.
The first artcile reports that Udinese’s defence is expected to be stripped of its best talents in this window, with a ‘revolution’ planned thanks to interest in their best players.
Becao is one of them, and it is Everton who ‘continue to press’ for his signature, although he is also being looked at by Torino, Inter Milan and Tottenham.
This is backed up by Tutto Udinese, who say the ‘most important requests’ for the Brazilian have come from the Premier League.
Everton are one of the sides to have ‘come forward’ for the defender, who the Italian side value at €15-20m.
CM then add their take, stating that Everton have ‘set their sights’ on Becao, but it will take the higher €20m to secure his signature.
Whether that’s a price the Toffees can afford or are willing to pay isn’t mentioned, but the 26-year-old is very much on their list of targets.
