Everton continue their efforts on transfer, player received permission to travel

 

The Sandro pendulum is swinging towards Everton. Earlier this morning we covered claims from Marca that it’s Everton now with the momentum, and edging ahead of Sandro, despite the Malaga player earlier passing a medical with Atletico Madrid.

Another Spanish newspaper, AS, also sound a little more confident for Everton than they have previously been. AS say Sandro got permission from the Spanish national set-up to travel to Liverpool and speak about his future.

That development, AS say, ‘has triggered doubts about his future’. Quite the understatement.

Just like Marca, AS don’t rule out Atletico Madrid’s chances of still finding a deal with Sandro, but they accept it’s not the obvious scenario any longer.

A possible negative for Everton is that Sandro has travelled to Liverpool… and not actually signed anything.

It doesn’t appear he’s had a medical, and he went through one of those with Atletico Madrid, with a view to the transfer.
