It feels like Adrien Rabiot’s future has been under discussion ahead of every transfer window for the past few years.
Leaving PSG in the summer for a free transfer to Juventus, the midfielder has played 711 minutes for the Italian club, split across Serie A and the Champions League. That’s not a terrible return given his lack of football last season, having been shunned by the Parisians for refusing to sign a new contract.
Starting three matches for Juve in December, brighter times may be ahead, yet that hasn’t stopped links with other clubs, including Everton.
France’s FootMercato published an exclusive on Monday which mainly concentrates on interest from Arsenal, but also has time for Carlo Ancelotti’s new side.
It’s stated Everton have spoken to the player’s mother, who also acts as his agent, to ‘take the temperature’, which very much sounds like them asking about the possibilities of a transfer.
FootMercato say that whilst Ancelotti’s priority in January is a central defender, the 24 year old midfielder is also on the agenda.
Juventus would prefer to keep Rabiot beyond January, preferring to find a transfer for Emre Can.
