Everton are looking at Strasbourg striker Ludovic Ajorque, with the idea of a move having ‘gained momentum’ in recent hours.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Toffees have ‘come forward’ to discuss terms of a possible deal for the striker.

They report that Everton are looking at the 28-year-old as they try to find a forward to fill the gap caused by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recent injury.

The hypothesis of a deal has gained momentum in the last few hours and they’ve now been in contact with Strasbourg over a possible deal.

The Blues are reportedly eyeing a loan deal with an option to buy for €18m and there have already been ‘exchanges’ between all parties.

In fact, there is also an English intermediary involved in the presence, something Foot Mercato believes is a hint there may be a positive outcome in the talks.

Everton are yet to make an official bid for the striker, who scored 12 in 36 games in Ligue 1 last season, but that ‘could arrive’ at any point.

Ajorque, who has a contract until 2024, is open to the idea of the move and ‘could be tempted’ should Everton make that offer and Strasbourg decide to accept it.
