Fanatik report Besiktas remain confident of signing Dynamo Kiev defender Domagoj Vida, but Everton still have an opportunity to land the Croatia international.
The 28-year old’s contract with Dynamo Kiev expires in January and there have been reports Besiktas have a pre contract agreement with Vida.
However, in the past week Everton has been reported as a possible destination for Vida, and Fanatik say even if Besiktas lose the defender to the Premier League side they’ll receive a transfer fee for him.
The Turkish newspaper report Besiktas have put a €4m (initial reports claimed this was €7.5m) cancellation clause in Vida’s pre contract agreement, meaning Everton would have to talk with Besiktas over a move.
Any club who are prepared to pay €4m to Besiktas before the 1st January can sign the Croatian, but Fanatik say there have been no official approaches for the player.
Vida is expected to make a decision on his future in the coming days, after reports last week Everton and AC Milan are interested in the central defender.
Besiktas stance on having Vida signed up may well differ to what the player believes.
