Everton and Burnley are among the ‘hottest suitors’ for Brøndby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen as he looks likely to move in the summer.
That’s according to Bold, who say the 22-year-old has ‘massive interest’ from England and as many as four clubs thinking about moving for him.
Everton are one of them according to their information, with them part of a trio of ‘particularly interested clubs’ in the Premier League.
They could face competition from Burnley, though, with them also showing an interest in moving for him and manager Vincent Kompany recently spotted at Brøndby Stadium for the 3F Superliga match between Brøndby and Viborg FF.
Hermansen was asked about that apparent interest after the game and insisted he knew nothing of it, but did insist that he would be sold in the summer.
“Yes, that is what we have in terms of plans,” he is quoted as saying when the subject of his future was brought up post-match.
Bold says that Burnley have been watching the goalkeeper for some time as Hermansen continues to gain experience, recently earning his first call up to Kasper Hjulmand’s first Denmark squad of 2023.
His future is not expected to be solved until the season particularly as clubs such as Everton need to know what league they will playing in before deciding on their transfer business.
That’s not as much of an issue for Burnley, who will almost certainly be in the Premier League next year, which may have handed them a slight advantage in what appears to be a developing race for Hermansen’s signature.
