Everton are interested in PSV defender Jurich Carolina, report De Telegraaf. The 18-year-old is currently playing for the reserve team at PSV and hasn’t made a single appearance for the senior team yet.
De Telegraaf say Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been following Carolina very closely for a while now.
The Dutchman has been regularly involved in the Jupiler League for PSV’s U21s, and has also featured for Netherlands U19.
It remains to be seen if Everton will show any urgency to complete a deal for Carolina in the January transfer window, as he is unlikely to be a first team option for Koeman at the moment.
Everton shouldn’t find it too difficult to reach an agreement with PSV as well, with the contract of the player expiring in 18 months.
Carolina is primarily a left back, but can also play at centre-back. A move to the Premier League could be tempting for the player, especially with him not getting any first team action at PSV.
