From Kalidou Koulibaly to Allan, to Hirving Lozano, Everton have been linked with everyone at Napoli since hiring Carlo Ancelotti.
If the rumours are to be believed, the Italian wants to take most of his former team with him to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window.
Indeed, it’s harder to find a Napoli player that hasn’t been linked with a move to Everton than one who has these days; the rumours have been that plentiful.
Striker Arkadiusz Milik is among the small band yet to get a rumour, but Arena Napoli have changed that today.
They report that Everton are very much interested in the 26-year-old and are ready to launch a bid in the region of €30-35m for his services.
That’s lower than what Napoli chief Aurelio di Laurentiis is looking for, he wants between €45-50m, but it’s believed that the ‘parties could meet halfway’ if Everton decide to ‘sink the blow’ after ‘preliminary contacts’.
Milik, for his part, would be set for a nice pay rise on Merseyside, with it believed there’s a contract worth €4m per year on the table. In fact, the Blues offer is said to be ‘more attractive’ than others at this stage.
It’s incredibly doubtful Everton will ever make a move though. With Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean in the squad, they don’t need a striker this summer.
And if they did, it’s unlikely they’d be spending the kind of money mentioned here to get one, especially as there are other areas of the team that require more urgent attention.
Like the Koulibaly rumours, this feels like a non-starter from the get-go, with it more likely Everton are being used by an agent or even De Laurentiis to drum up interest than anything genuine.
