Everton and West Ham United have included Burnley’s Maxime Estève in their target list for the summer window, according to Foot Mercato.
The centre-back’s performances for Burnley have seen Everton, West Ham and others take notice.
Everton, in fact, have identified the Burnley player as the priority target to replace Jarrad Branthwaite.
The Toffees man has attracted interest from other clubs and is expected to leave after this season. The possibility of losing Branthwaite has seen David Moyes’ side identify Estève as their main defensive target.
In addition to Everton, West Ham are also showing interest in the 22-year-old. The report adds the Hammers have made contact for the defender who made 40 appearances in all competitions for Burnley this season.
Foot Mercato state an unnamed Premier League club have also made an approach for the France U23 international.
AC Milan have asked about him but cooled their interest after finding out Burnley’s asking price. There’s no mention of the Championship side’s request in the report.
After an impressive season, Estève could leave Burnley in the next window. Whether that will be for Everton, West Ham or another club remains to be seen.
