Everton are interested in Real Valladolid youngster Adrián Arnuncio, with a host of clubs eyeing up the striker.
That’s according to journalist Jorge C. Picon, who says Everton are in the race for one of the ‘great pearls of Spanish football.’
He explains that Arnuncio has been impressing in the lower categories in Spain this season, with two goals in 14 games to date despite just being 16 years old.
He’s already playing for the reserves on a regular basis and earning admirers, with several clubs around Europe getting ‘very positive reports’ on him and scouts watching him live on different occasions.
Spain are very excited about his future, with the RFEF expecting big things about his future, and a growing list of clubs are watching him.
Everton are one of them, alongside Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Benfica and Barcelona to have shown an interest. In fact, the Toffees are believed to be offering ‘customised projects’.
Half of Europe would like him, and Valladolid may be forced into a sale as his current contract expires in 2025.
They’d like him to sign a new deal but could let him go and maintain a percentage of a future sale so they can protect their investment. If not, they will refer to his very affordable release clause, which is €3m.
