Napoli midfielder Allan has his ‘suitcases on the bed’ ready to seal a move to Everton this summer.
That’s according to Il Mattino, who say the Brazilian has a deal in place with the Toffees ahead of a switch to Goodison Park.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Everton since January, with it established that Carlo Ancelotti wants to add at least one midfielder to his squad.
It’s believed that Allan, who he worked with at Napoli, fits the bill perfectly and Everton have been negotiating with the Serie A side for several months over a possible transfer.
They are yet to find a price that suits both parties, but it has widely been claimed that they already have an agreement in place with the player.
Il Mattino back up those claims today, saying Allan is at the end of his ‘adventure’ in Napoles and it would be ‘very risky’ for the club to keep him this summer.
He ‘must be sold’ but Napoli chief Aurelio de Laurentiis has set a ‘very high’ asking price for him at present.
That is something Everton are working to bring down, with a report earlier this week saying they are just €5m away from the asking price.
Either way, Allan has an agreement in place with Everton, meaning the Blues have a strong negotiating position.
Indeed, Corriere Dello Sport add that Ancelotti is ‘waiting for him’ in Liverpool, which would suggest that he is confident that Everton will get a deal over the line at some point.
As things stand, though, there is no update on what we already know. Everton are yet to negotiate a fee with Napoli for Allan, who already has a deal in place to make the move and is seemingly edging closer and closer to leaving Napoli this summer.
