Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko has until tonight to seal a move away from the Championship club.
The Frenchman has been waiting for Real Madrid to make an offer all summer, but it now appears he might have to settle for something less.
According to a latest report from French daily L’Equipe, Everton are in advanced negotiations with Newcastle to sign Sissoko, but face competition from Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion.
However, L’Equipe say for any deal to go through there should be significant progress today.
Newcaslte, Everton and Sissoko’s representatives were in negotiations yesterday, and talks are expected to continue today. L’Equipe suggest anything is possible, and the player could also end up staying at Newcastle.
Newcastle have set an asking price of €40m for the player, and may have to lower their demands for any deal to go through before tonight’s deadline.
