Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with Breel Embolo, as French newspaper L’Equipe reports the final days of the window could be eventful for the forward and his club AS Monaco.

The 27-year-old has made 26 appearances for Monaco so far this season, rarely playing the full 90 minutes for his club. In around 1600 minutes across all competitions he’s found the back of the net five times and added five assists along the way.

A centre forward, Embolo has a contract with Monaco which lasts until the end of June 2026.

Injuries to other forwards in the Monaco squad has made Embolo more important for manager Adi Hütter than he otherwise would have been, so there’s more concern around his situation with Tottenham and others apparently interested.

L’Equipe lightly suggest a possible exchange with Bayern Munich for Mathys Tel, although there’s a few other clubs interested in the Bayern player.

As well as Tottenham, there’s said to be interest from Galatasaray, Como and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

L’Equipe make it sound like AS Monaco are open to a sale.
