With claims over Tottenham lining up a concrete offer for 20 year old, others now brought in

Fotospor claim Benfica have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Yusuf Yazici.

The 20 year old attacking midfielder is seen as the one of the best young prospects in the Turkish top flight, and his performances this season have brought him to the attention of other clubs, including Tottenham and Benfica.

The Turkish newspaper report Benfica are looking to sign Yazici, but Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta has rejected their offer. Usta reportedly wants €25m for the Turkish international if he’s to be sold in the coming transfer windows.

Last week we covered reports from Turkey that Tottenham are lining up a ‘very serious offer’ for Yazici. Tottenham scouts have reportedly been following the player’s performances this season, and been impressed by the youngster.

Tottenham fans will be aware they’ve been the subject of several stories in the Turkish media over the past year, and whilst it seems probable Spurs have someone seriously scouting in the country… things seem to often get carried away.
